The Chairman of Okemesi/Ido Ile Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi, has commiserated with the people of Oye Local Government and Ajoni Local Council Development Area on the killing of two traditional rulers by suspected gunmen on Tuesday.

Ekiti News reports that Hon. Owolabi also commiserated with his counterparts in Oye Local Government, Hon Princess Clara Adesola Bamisile and Ajoni Local Council Development Area, Hon. Michael Ogungbemi, on the brutal murder of the two Obas.

Hon. Owolabi in a statement described the attack and killing of the two traditional rulers, the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin and the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunji Samuel Olusola by suspected gunmen as tragic, heartrending and calamitous.

He also specifically commiserated with the people of Esun Ekiti and Imojo Ekiti on the sudden loss of their royal fathers whose lives were cut short by evildoers at a time they were needed to give leadership to their communities.

Hon. Owolabi commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji on the prompt action taken by paying visits to the two grieving communities to sympathize with the subjects of the deceased.

The Okemesi/Ido Ile LCDA boss condoled with the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers on the sudden, gruesome and unfortunate loss of two committed members.

The council chair tasked the police and other security agencies to do everything humanly possible to unmask the killers and bring them to justice.

Hon. Owolabi prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased traditional rulers praying God to grant their families, associates and subjects the fortitude to bear the monumental loss.
