After receiving approval from the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin is scheduled to enter seclusion to commence traditional rites preceding his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Ekiti News reports that preparation for the new king’s coronation is underway, with the Olakulehin family initiating the sale of ceremonial fabric known as ‘aso ebi’ for the occasion.

It is worth recalling that Governor Makinde had granted his approval for the appointment of Oba Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Olusegun Olayiwola, the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, on Wednesday, revealed this in a statement.

The state government is expected to announce the date for the Olubadan-designate’s coronation soon.
