Ekiti News reports that the government of Ekiti State is set to launch a free health program specifically tailored for People With Disabilities (PWDs) in the state.
Princess Adetoun Agboola, the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on
Special Education and Social Inclusion, disclosed in Ado-Ekiti.
She mentioned that her agency, in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health and Human Services, has concluded arrangements for the initiation of the program. The scheme aims to provide People With Disabilities with access to free health services at all government-owned primary, secondary, and tertiary health facilities throughout the state.
The Special Adviser emphasized the commitment of Mr. Biodun Oyebanji’s administration to the well-being of all categories of People With Disabilities in the state. She directed them to visit the State Ministry of Health and Human Services in Ado-Ekiti to register their names and provide personal details, facilitating their inclusion in this recent government initiative.
Princess Agboola stated that during the registration process, PWDs in the State would be expected to submit one passport photograph each as well as their National Identification Numbers (NIN) in the exercise that would close on the 29th of February, 2024.
