The Ekiti State Government via its Ministry of Local Government Affairs is set to organize a three-day retreat for the Chairmen/Chairpersons of the 16 Local Government (LG) and 22 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) in the State.
Chief Folorunso Olabode, the State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, disclosed in Ado Ekiti that the three-day retreat is designed for the LG and LCDA Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Secretaries, LG Inspectors, Heads of LG Administration, and other relevant stakeholders.
The Commissioner noted that the Agenda of the retreat would focus on “Alignment of State and Local Government plans for enhanced coordination, value for money and effective service delivery in Governance in Ekiti State” with the sole aim of ensuring excellence in service delivery, stressing that the Retreat would be a review on the management and running of local government administration generally.
Ekiti News reports that the retreat would hold at Abiodun Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex, Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti from Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th January this year at 9:00 am daily.
Mr. Olabode enjoined all participants to attend punctually and make the maximum opportunities provided by the various resource persons at the Retreat.
