A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Hon. Segun Adelugba, has congratulated Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi on his recent appointment as Chairman of the South West Development Commission (SWDC).
In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday, Adelugba described the appointment as well-deserved and recognition of Senator Adetunmbi’s commitment to public service and grassroots development.
According to him, “Senator Adetunmbi is an illustrious son of Ekiti whose dedication, experience and passion for development have never been in doubt. His appointment is not only a gain for Ekiti State but a blessing to the entire South West region.”
Adelugba, who also served as the Director General of the Adetunmbi Political Family, expressed confidence in the capacity of the former lawmaker to bring purposeful leadership and lay a solid foundation for the development of the South West.
He said, “Senator Adetunmbi is a man of vision and integrity. His tenure as Chairman of the South West Development Commission will mark a turning point for our region. I am confident that he will lay a strong foundation that will drive sustainable growth and address the developmental needs of our people.”
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinumbu for finding Adetunmbi worthy of such a critical role, saying the choice reflects the administration’s commitment to competence and merit.
“This appointment is a clear indication that hard work and loyalty to progressive ideals are still being recognised in our democracy,” he added.
Adelugba also called on all stakeholders across the South West to rally round the new Chairman to enable him deliver on the Commission’s mandate effectively.
