The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajibade Owolabi, has described the Silverbird Man of the Year Award conferred on Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) as a testament to his unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of Ekiti State.

Hon. Owolabi, in a statement issued through the council’s Director of Information and Civic Orientation, Mr. Ajayi Olugbenga, congratulated the governor, commending his exemplary leadership and remarkable achievements in infrastructure, tourism, social interventions, agriculture, healthcare, youth development, and sports.

He lauded Governor Oyebanji’s transparent, inclusive, and participatory governance style, which has significantly improved the lives of the people. According to him, the series of prestigious awards recently received by the governor reflect his outstanding performance, particularly in infrastructure development and support for the less privileged.

Hon. Owolabi further reaffirmed the unwavering support of his council area for the governor’s administration, pledging continued cooperation in delivering more democratic dividends to the people.

The Silverbird Award, instituted in 2005, honours individuals who have made significant contributions to societal development.
