Senator Cyril Fasuyi recently held a strategic meeting with youth leaders and local government councillors from Oye Local Government Area, urging them to play active roles in politics for the development of their communities.

The meeting brought together Youth Presidents, Secretaries, Public Relations Officers from 15 communities, APC Ward youth leaders, and councillors. Senator Fasuyi emphasized the need for youth participation in governance, stressing that tenured officials must deliver tangible results to justify their mandates.
He highlighted his efforts in securing 30 employment slots for constituents and pledged to facilitate more before the year ends. He also encouraged youths to take advantage of the ongoing Federal Civil Service recruitment, assuring them of his support in securing job placements, irrespective of political affiliations.
The Senator’s commitment to youth development was acknowledged by Mr. Femi Fagbemi, President of the Oye Local Government Youth Forum, and Mr. Dare Adewumi, the association’s Secretary, who commended his free JAMB registration initiative, which has eased financial burdens on parents.
Hon. Yomi Abe, Leader of Oye Local Government Councillors, appealed for job opportunities in the Army and Police for youths without higher education qualifications.
In further support, Senator Fasuyi donated ₦1 million to the youth association and another ₦1 million for renovating a solar-powered borehole in Ire-Ekiti. He also promised to refurbish boreholes in Itapa/Osin and Oye-Ekiti by March.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with attendees reaffirming their commitment to regular engagements with the Senator.
