Residents of Oye, Moba, and Ilejemeje Local Government Areas in Ekiti North Senatorial District received a generous Easter gesture from their representative at the National Assembly, Senator Cyril Fasuyi, as he distributed cash and food items worth millions of naira.
The outreach, which began in Ilejemeje and Moba LGAs, reached Oye Local Government on Monday, where 650 beneficiaries from all 12 wards converged at the Ilupeju Town Hall to receive the packages.
Senator Fasuyi said the initiative was part of his commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents and aligning with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s people-oriented policies.
“This Easter gesture is to complement the governor’s efforts and bring relief and joy to our people during this season. I believe personal interventions like these are vital for community development and social bonding,” he said.
He also reaffirmed his support for Governor Oyebanji’s second-term ambition, urging residents to continue backing the current administration for sustained development.
Speaking at the event, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Gender, Empowerment and Mobilization, Chief Mrs. Kemisola Olaleye, lauded the senator’s generosity and urged beneficiaries to share part of the gifts with their neighbours in the spirit of Easter.
The Member representing Oye Constituency II in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Idowu Odebunmi, also commended Senator Fasuyi’s commitment to grassroots empowerment and lauded his consistent efforts to touch lives positively.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the senator and prayed for his continued success in public service.
The Easter distribution is expected to continue in Ikole and Ido-Osi LGAs in the coming days, further cementing Senator Fasuyi’s dedication to the well-being of his constituents.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Ore Fabunmi, Chief Beatrice Adeleye, Hon. Atanseiye, Hon. Reuben Awoyemi, Hon. Comfort Abejide, Hon. Ajimoko, Hon. Foluso Ojo, Hon. Adeyanju Olumide, as well as all ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, and other stakeholders.
