Ekiti News reports that Oluwadaisi Samuel (42) and Innocent Osadare (39) have been brought by the Ekiti State Police Command before an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court on charges of alleged fraud.
The prosecutor, Inspector Sodiq Adeniyi, informed the court that the defendants, on April 6, 2024, and April 23, 2024, in Ado-Ekiti, obtained the sums of N130,000 and N380,000 from the complainants, Adewale Adesewa and Famuagun Aanuoluwapo, respectively, under the pretext of leasing a shop and a self-contained apartment to them.
Insp. Adeniyi requested the court to adjourn the case to allow him time to study the file and gather his witnesses.
Lawyers to the first and second defendants, Mr Gboyega Abiola and Mr Femi Olarewaju, urged the court to grant the defendants bail.
Dolamu Babalogbon, the Magistrate granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with one surety each in a like sum, and adjourned the case to May 29.
