The Ebira Community in Are Ekiti received a strong delegation of Ebira Stakeholders on a condolence visit to console them on the death of one of their members (Danjumo) on Sunday the 14th of July, 2024.


The delegation comprise the special assistant to the governor on Ethnic Relations (EBIRA), Hon Suleiman Nasiru, Ebira Community State president, Mallam Ibrahim Abdulrazaq and some members of the Board of Trustees.

This is contained in a statement signed by Hon. Suleiman Nasiru, the special assistant to the governor on Ethnic Relations (EBIRA), Hon Suleiman Nasiru on Wednesday, in Ado-Ekiti.


Upon their arrival, they were received by HRM Adebiyi Boluwaji Alaare of Are Ekiti where his majesty briefed the visitors on what transpired that led to the death of Danjumo and the steps taken so far to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to book.

The State president praised the Kabiyesi on the steps taken and appealed to the Ebiras to remain calm on this matter and allow the law to take its just course.

The Special assistant to the governor also appreciated HRM for the proactive steps taken that translated to the quick return of peace to the ancient town.

He appealed to all the residents of the town to live in harmony and peace with one another and shun any act that can jeopardize the peace of the area.

He warned that the government of His Excellency governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji will not tolerate lawlessness in the State.

Prayers were offered for the peace of the town, the state in general and for the departed soul.
