The Oyebanji Street Vanguard (OSV), a foremost grassroots sensitisation and mobilisation movement in Ekiti State, has commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for what it described as his exemplary leadership style and his success in uniting progressive forces of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The group said Oyebanji’s humility and servant leadership have strengthened the ruling party, consolidated unity among stakeholders and positioned Ekiti as a reliable base for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
OSV noted that under the governor’s guidance, the APC has become more people-oriented and inclusive, bringing together past and present leaders ahead of the October 27, 2025 party primaries and the June 2026 governorship election.
In a statement signed by its Convener, HC Ade, the group stressed that Ekiti State has never been this united since its creation in 1996 and the return of democracy in 1999.
According to OSV, the political atmosphere under Oyebanji has fostered stability, cohesion, and renewed confidence in the ruling party.
“Governor Oyebanji has shown that true leadership is about humility, inclusion, and service to the people. He has rallied all stakeholders, ensuring that APC remains strong and united, and by so doing, he has made the task of delivering President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 much easier,” the statement read.
While praising Oyebanji for his achievements, OSV cautioned against complacency. The group urged the governor, the APC, and the people of Ekiti to remain vigilant, focused, and committed to the dual tasks of re-electing Oyebanji in 2026 and ensuring Tinubu’s landmark victory in 2027.
“A support for Governor Oyebanji is a support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” OSV declared.
