The Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, HRM Oba (Dr.) John Adegbenro Falore, Ajigbade III has expressed commendation for Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti for his significant developmental efforts in the state.
Ekiti News reports that Oba Adegbenro made the remarks during the election and inauguration of the new National Executive Committee of the Ifaki Progressive Union (IPU), which took place on Saturday.
Oba Adegbenro thanked Governor Oyebanji for the ongoing rehabilitation of Ifaki-Iworoko-Ado road, the ring road coming from Airport-Iworoko to Ifaki, approval for the establishment of a trailer park in Ifaki in partnership with a Developer and Isokan LCDA, and approval for comprehensive renovation of Ifaki General Hospital.
Oba Adegbenro, while appealing to the State Governor for the resuscitation of University of Science and Technology, Ifaki-Ekiti (USTI), said Ifaki Community deserved the return of the full-fledged university because the reason the government gave for the merger at that time has been defeated.
He also appealed for the resuscitation of Ifaki radio station and renovation of Ifaki Housing Estate along Iworoko road.
The monarch pledged the support of the Ifaki Community to the administration of Governor Oyebanji in his quest to develop the State.
The traditional ruler also highlighted the community’s achievements in various completed and ongoing development projects, including:
- The Feed mill project facilitated by Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi
*Approval from the Federal Government for the comprehensive renovation of Ifaki Primary Health Center facilitated by Hon. Kolawoke Akinlayo
*The establishment of FUOYE Ifaki Campus, which currently boasts more than 350 pioneer students
*The upgrading of Ifaki Police Outpost Station to Divisional Police Station
*The establishment of Ifaki ICT center, also facilitated by Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi
*The rehabilitation of 1KM Palace road, Imoshe road, and General Hospital road.
Oba Adegbenro expressed gratitude to the people of Ifaki for their unwavering support since his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
