Hon. Olubunmi Oriniowo, the National Ex-officio (South-West) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Prince Adeyeye as the Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Ekiti News reports that Hon. Oriniowo described Adeyeye’s appointment as a well-deserved reward for loyalty, characterizing him as a “round peg in a round hole.”
This was contained in a statement personally signed by Hon. Oriniowo on Monday.
“Prince Adeyeye is not only a strategist and a nationalist but also an administrator par excellence,” Oriniowo said. “His expertise will significantly contribute to the rejuvenation of the Ports Authority.”
Expressing her joy, Oriniowo congratulated the new appointee and highlighted his alignment with President Tinubu’s vision.
“The Prince Adeyeye that I know will work to deliver on the renewed hope of Mr. President and ensure that things work properly again at the Port Authority,” she noted.
Oriniowo also commended Adeyeye’s efforts in galvanizing support before President Tinubu announced his intention to contest, stating that his deep understanding of the President’s Renewed Hope agenda is crucial for his new role. “Prince Adeyeye is key to delivering on his appointment,” she affirmed.
Extending her congratulations to the people of Ekiti, particularly Governor Oyebanji, Oriniowo acknowledged the Governor as a significant pillar since his assumption of office. She also prayed for continued support for the Governor’s efforts.
The appointment of Prince Adeyeye marks a significant step in President Tinubu’s commitment to effective governance and development within the Nigerian Ports Authority, ensuring a brighter future for the nation’s maritime sector.
Oriniowo further expressed her gratitude to President Tinubu for recognizing the talents and contributions of Ekiti leaders. She emphasized that there are still many capable and dedicated leaders from Ekiti who have much to offer Nigeria and urged the President to consider more appointments for these individuals.
“Ekiti State is blessed with numerous competent and visionary leaders who are eager to contribute to the nation’s progress. I humbly appeal to President Tinubu to continue to tap into this rich pool of talent for various positions, ensuring that the best minds are harnessed for Nigeria’s development,” Oriniowo concluded.
