Ekiti News reports that the Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, HRM Oba (Dr.) John Adegbenro Falore (Ajigbade III), has expressed joy at the commencement of academic activities at the Ifaki-Ekiti Campus of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, hailing it as a significant milestone.

This was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Oluwasegun Aina on Wednesday, in Ifaki-Ekiti.

Oba Adegbenro appreciated the leadership of the citadel of learning for giving his community this golden opportunity that will continue to serve as a bolster for the economic growth of the host community and the ones around.

He said, “It was a unique experience and total excitement when the management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, under the leadership of Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina, gave approval for Ifaki-Ekiti to host a Campus under the Federal Institution and we’re happy its operations start today.”

Oba Adegbenro, alongside community Chiefs, attended the resumption event to extend prayers for students and the management staff of the campus. He expressed gratitude to the residents of Ifaki-Ekiti for their commendable contributions leading to the completion of the school’s site. Additionally, he urged them to embrace a welcoming spirit for all.

“I am joyfully overwhelmed today for this beautiful development. I want to assure you of adequate security for Staffs and Students in their respective dealings,” he added.

Olufaki, however, urged Landlords in the community to show empathy and consideration towards house rents for intending Staff and Students. He charged all to show adequate leniency, so as to making the atmosphere suitable for peaceful and enabling co-habitation.

Dr. Omolade Adeleke, the Director of the Centre for Continuing Education at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, earlier speaking described the ceremony as significant, emphasizing its worthiness.

He assured that Ifaki-Ekiti is a peaceful location and encouraged residents to create an engaging environment for both students and staff, enhancing the overall learning and living experience.

Recall last year, Oba Adegbenro led delegations to Federal University, Oye-Ekiti where management board approved the Campus for Ifaki-Ekiti to run courses in various fields of learning, i.e, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Hospitality and Tourism Management Departments, respectively.
