The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated workers in the state as they mark the 2025 May Day celebration.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker hailed the contributions of workers to the growth and stability of governance, describing them as “central, critical, and strategic” to the success of government policies and programmes.

“Workers keep the system running, and they are worthy of celebration and honour. I salute your dignity in service, doggedness in performance, uprightness in loyalty, and patience with your employers at critical moments,” Aribasoye stated.

The Speaker reaffirmed the commitment of the Governor Biodun Oyebanji-led administration to the welfare and rights of workers in the state, assuring them of continued support and timely entitlements.

“At the level of workers in the state legislature, this year is definitely a more joyful one than the past year. A few weeks ago, the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS) was graciously approved by our amiable governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji. This sparked boisterous celebration in the Assembly and stood as another feather in the cap of the administration,” Aribasoye added.

He urged workers across the state to continue rallying behind the current administration as it strives to bring holistic development to every sector and improve the lives of the people.

Aribasoye also gave assurance that members of the House will continue to perform their duties effectively and in the best interest of the state.

“On our part as lawmakers, the next one year will definitely witness more legislations, oversight, and interface—all geared towards making life better for workers and the generality of the state,” he said.
