Ekiti News reports that the Ekiti State Government has approved the appointment of Prince Bayode Ayeni as the new Olu of Iyemero-Ekiti.
This was the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday 30th July, 2024.
According to a statement made available to the newsmen by the State Commissioner of information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, the council also approved the appointment of Barrister Stephen Adegboyega Alabi as the new Olosi of Osi-Ekiti and Prince Babalola Adebomi as the new Alararomi of Araromi-Ekiti.
The statement reads in part, “the State Executive Council also approved the appointment of Prince (Ambassador) Bayode Akinsanmi Ayeni from the Onitedo Ruling House as Olu of lyemero Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of the State.
“Prince Bayode Ayeni obtained B.A (Hons) in International Relations From Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, M.A Political Science from Columbia University, New York, NY, Diploma In Diplomacy from Columbia University, New York, NY, and Diploma In Manpower Budgeting from the Royal Institute of Public Administration, London, England.
“He succeeds Oba Ebenezer Agboola Ogungbemi from llisa Ruling House who passed away on 23rd April, 2021.
“The provision of the Chiefs Law (2012) was strictly adhered to in the selection of Prince Bayode Ayeni as the Olu of Iyemero Ekiti.”
