In a show of support for community welfare, Hon. Adewumi Sikiru Adekunle, Councillor representing Igede Ward B in Irepodun-Ifelodun Local Government, has distributed 5kg bags of rice to over 50 residents in Igede-Ekiti.
The initiative, carried out in honour of Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, was aimed at assisting residents, particularly those observing the Ramadan fast, while reinforcing the governor’s commitment to inclusive leadership.
Speaking during the distribution, Hon. Adekunle praised Governor Oyebanji for his all-inclusive governance style, stating, “Our governor is a leader for everyone, regardless of religion. This is my way of supporting those fasting during this sacred month.”
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, commending both Adekunle and Governor Oyebanji for their dedication to the welfare of the people.
