Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has expressed condolences to Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, and the residents of Ibadan following the significant explosion on Tuesday in the state capital.
Ekiti News reports that the Governor also extended his condolences to the families of the explosion victims and those whose properties were affected.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji praised Governor Makinde for his prompt response to the incidents.
He called upon law enforcement agencies in the state to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
He said, “The Government and people of Ekiti State commiserate with the people of Oyo State, especially victims of the explosion.
“it is regrettable that while the government is busy making concerted efforts to ensure progress and development, some individuals, through their nefarious activities, have wreak havoc and caused pains for fellow citizens.”
Governor Oyebanji urged Governor Makinde not to be discouraged or distracted by the development.
