In yet another endeavor to foster community togetherness , unity and cultural revival amongst people at the grassroots, the Office of Community Communications adopted major local game points as BAO Game Centers.

This innovative initiative seeks to provide a decent communal space for people at the grassroots to engage in various games at their leisure.

Beyond its recreational purpose, the BAO Game Center serves as a platform for idea exchange and feedback gathering. Additionally, it serves as a proactive measure in crime prevention by keeping people engaged in constructive activities after the day’s work /farming .

Yesterday, the office embarked on an inspection of the construction progress and distributed game kits and other items to them. Centers visited ; Oye, Ikole, Odo Ayedun, Otun, Ifaki, Aramoko, and Usi Ekiti. Others will be visited later .

The response from residents of the visited communities was overwhelming with many expressing gratitude for what they consider unprecedented governance in the state’s history. The BAO Game Center transcends cultural and political affiliations, serving as a communal space that further creates accessibility to governance .

According to the Director-General of the Office of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso – Omotosho,Governor Oyebanji conceived the initiative during his project inspection tours, where he observed that many rural dwellers played games under the trees which could often expose them to unfavourable weather conditions.
