Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has dedicated the Independent Newspaper Governor of the Year Award 2023 (Community Development) to the people of Ekiti.
Ekiti News reports that the State’s Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, praised Governor Oyebanji’s receipt of the award calling it well-deserved and a testament to his commitment to service.
The award, presented by former Governor of Old Ondo State, Chief Olabode George, at a ceremony chaired by former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, acknowledges Governor Oyebanji’s achievements in community development, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure, and inclusive governance, fostering peace, progress, and prosperity in Ekiti State.
Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun, accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media/Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, received the award on behalf of Governor Oyebanji, expressing gratitude for the recognition of the governor’s impactful leadership across Ekiti State.
Governor Oyebanji, in appreciation of the people’s support, dedicated the award to the citizens of Ekiti State, emphasizing his commitment to shared prosperity and continuous development for all residents.
Highlighting Governor Oyebanji’s extensive experience in Ekiti’s development, including his role in its creation and service on the Ekiti State Development Fund, Olatunbosun praised the governor’s inclusive leadership, transcending political, social, religious, ethnic, gender, or class divides, making him one of Nigeria’s finest leaders.
The event was attended by Hon. Akinlayo Kolawole, representing Ido/Osi/Moba/Ilejemeje Federal Constituency of Ekiti State, in honor of Governor Oyebanji.
