Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has declared that the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, as his benefactor and lifelong boss.
He also joined Senate Majority Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and other notable Nigerians in praising Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi for her literary achievements and steadfast advocacy for gender equality.
Ekiti News reports that Erelu Bisi Fayemi was the guest author at the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Abuja Chapter, June Reading/Writers dialogue held during the weekend at Mamman Vatsa Writers Village, Abuja.
During his speech at the event, the Governor received extended applause when he openly described Fayemi as his boss for life, contrasting with the often contentious relationships between sitting governors and their perceived “godfathers.”
Governor Oyebanji said, “Yes, I’m the Governor but you remain my boss for life. Thank you for your support, thank you for being the burden bearer. I’m absolutely grateful for not leaving me alone.”
