Former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has urged members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly to remain united and committed to grassroots mobilisation ahead of the coming elections.

Dr. Fayemi made the call during a strategic meeting with lawmakers led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.

He stressed the need for strong collaboration among political stakeholders to sustain the development strides of the state and ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in future elections.

According to a statement signed by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Oke, the former governor charged the lawmakers to deepen their constituency engagement and support the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

He also advised them to focus on long-term planning, institutional strengthening, and inclusive governance, which he described as vital tools for Ekiti’s sustainable growth.

Dr. Fayemi urged party members to work in unity, saying internal cohesion within the APC was key to achieving electoral success. He expressed optimism that with disciplined efforts and a united front, the party would win all elections and consolidate on its developmental agenda.

While commending the 7th Assembly for their outstanding legislative performance, the former governor encouraged the current lawmakers to build on that legacy and ensure their work reflects the needs and aspirations of the people.

Dr. Fayemi reiterated his continued commitment to the progress of Ekiti State and called for sustained partnership among political actors in the state.

The meeting was described as inspiring and forward-looking, with participants aligning on a shared vision for a prosperous and stable Ekiti State.
