The lingering crisis between Ekiti Private Sector, Artisan and NATA have been resolved after aeries of reconciliatory meetings.

The crisis was finally resolved in a meeting conveyed by Mrs Mary Oso – Omotosho, the Director- General, Office of Community Communications, yesterday Tuesday 27th February 2024 in her office at Lady Jibowu , Government House, Ado-Ekiti.

Present at the meeting ; Hon. Israel Adesokan ,SSA Traffic Management,Hon. Lanre Fasuan, Hon. Lawal Moshood Adegoke ,SSA Grassroots Communications (North), SA Town Unions and Associations, Hon. Andero ,Hon.Toyin Tuase Florence , SA Governor’s Office, leadership of Private Sector, Artisans and NATA as represented by their Chairmen and two exco members each .

Under Governor Oyebanji ,the informal sector has received unprecedented support , partnership and high patronage . Aside the fact that the sector has three of their members in his government as appointees , every association in the sector receives government patronage.

For instance , NATA has been assigned all damaged government vehicles in MDAs for repairs . Ekiti Motor Dealers Association suppliers official vehicles. Bricklayer Association handles some special projects , Welders Association produced bunks for hostels in government special schools and so on .

The 12 billion naira relief package recently announced by Mr Governor also considered the informal sector . The reconciliation was necessary so as to ensure that no one is left behind in the promotion of shared prosperity mantra of Governor Oyebanji’s administration.
