The Ekiti State University Alumni Association has presented the State Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, with an Award of Excellence for his outstanding public service.
The award, presented on Monday at the annual lecture of the Alumni body, recognizes the innovative and trailblazing contributions of Aribasoye in the strategic offices he has occupied.
The 2025 edition of the lecture, attended by the Speaker and other dignitaries, was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University, Prof. Olawumi Fapounda.
“I am truly humbled and filled with gratitude to receive the Outstanding Public Service Award from the Alumni Association of my beloved alma mater, Ekiti State University, today, March 31, 2025,” Aribasoye wrote in a piece.
He described the recognition as an affirmation of how EKSU impacted his life for service delivery and value addition, noting that the honour will stimulate more exploits.
He said, “This honour reflects the values and principles that EKSU instilled in me during my formative years. I am deeply proud to have made a positive impact in my community, and this recognition fuels my commitment to serve with even greater integrity and passion.”
As a student at EKSU, Aribasoye held various positions of leadership and responsibility, including serving as President of the Faculty of Law Students’ Society and Student Union President in the same institution.
In 2024, Aribasoye was awarded as a Trailblazer in ICT Revolution by the Federal Government at the Nigeria Govtech Public Service Award, where the 7th Assembly, under his leadership, was also recognized as the best state assembly in ICT Integration.
