The Ekiti Police Command on Thursday, announced that they have launched an investigation into the murder of a Point of Sale agent, popularly known as Alfa Taofeek, and a wheelbarrow pusher selling rice.
Ekiti News reports that the crimes were committed by unidentified gunmen in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital on Thursday.
According to local sources, three gunmen stormed the area and shot Alfa Taofeek, leaving him in a pool of blood around 8.am.
Also, the attackers shot dead a wheelbarrow pusher hawking rice at the Oja Bisi area on the same day.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, while reacting to the incident said that investigation has begun.
He mentioned that although the assailants have not yet been identified, efforts are underway to apprehend them.
Abutu stated, “The incident occurred. We have commenced an investigation into the matter. No arrests have been made so far, but we are pursuing the assailants and will bring them to justice.”
