Says President Tinubu is solidly behind Governor

The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has said the people of Ekiti will speak in one voice on Monday, July 28, by openly endorsing Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office.

Aribasoye made the statement on Thursday while speaking during a special radio programme focused on governance, politics, and the upcoming statewide endorsement rally for the Governor.

He said the people of Ekiti are satisfied with the performance of Governor Oyebanji, and would use the event to show their total support for him, his deputy, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the Speaker, the policies of the Tinubu-led Federal Government have contributed to developmental strides in Ekiti, and more support from Abuja is expected going forward.

Aribasoye praised Governor Oyebanji’s strong relationship with President Tinubu, saying it has helped in the approval of key federal road projects in the state. He added that the President has demonstrated serious commitment to the development of Ekiti.

Speaking on security, the Speaker said the Oyebanji administration has prioritised the safety of lives and property, a move that has made Ekiti one of the safest and most attractive states for investors.

He also noted that the State Assembly has passed several laws to support the executive arm, including laws on healthcare, agriculture, gender protection, and a local content law to promote the use of local manpower and raw materials in projects.

Also speaking during the programme, the Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatubosun, and the Commissioner for Physical Planning, Rt. Hon. Dapo Karounwi, listed several achievements of the Oyebanji administration across different sectors.

They expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji would yield to the growing calls from stakeholders and citizens to seek re-election in 2026.
