Yesterday was another moment of celebrating inclusivity in Ekiti State as the Office of Community Communications launched a new grassroots communications initiative “BAO Communications Agents “ to further deepen Governor Oyebanji’s impact at the grassroots .
A total of 177 “BAO Communications Agents” , representing each ward across the state were inaugurated . These agents are entrusted with the responsibility of disseminating government information , activities and programs at the grassroots.
The inauguration ceremony turned into a lively rally at some point as the newly inaugurated BCAs expressed their admiration for the Governor while showing gratitude for being honoured with such a role in his administration noting that despite their long-standing party membership, they had never before felt such a strong sense of belonging.
Addressing the BCAs at the ceremony,the Director-General , Officer of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso – Omotosho congratulated them and highlighted that this initiative is a manifestation of Governor Oyebanji’s vision of inclusivity, ensuring no segment of the state is left out.
She emphasized that their selection was a testament to their tremendous efforts in their respective communities , and assured them that the Governor acknowledges and appreciates their great work.
Mrs. Oso-Omotosho who had earlier done orientation for the BCAs on information management urged them to be good ambassadors of the Governor in their domains stating that their communities would rely on them for timely dissemination of accurate government information as well as sensitization.
