Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has expressed condolences over the death of two former commissioners in the state, Mrs Titilayo Ojo and Chief Diran Adesua.
Ekiti News reports that Ojo, served as Commissioner for Education during the administration of Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
The deceased was a renowned leader of the All Progressives Congress in the Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
Adesua, on his part, served in the cabinet of ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi as Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development.
This was disclosed in a separate statements signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Olayinka Oyebode in Ado-Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji described the death of the two ex-commissioners as a loss to the state.
He described Adesua’s death as “an irreparable loss to the progressives fold of the All Progressives Congress and the state at large.”
Governor Oyebanji said, “Though his death is shocking and sad, we are consoled by the impactful life he lived as a community leader, distinguished professional, and politician. It is our prayer that the good Lord will grant him eternal rest and comfort the family he left behind.”
According to the statement, the governor paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Ojo at Odo Ayedun Ekiti on Saturday to commiserate with her widower, Ayo Ojo, the children, and the entire APC family in the Ikole LGA.
Governor Oysaid. said, “We shall miss Mama Titilayo Ojo, no doubt. But she will be remembered for her diligence, discipline, and dedication to good causes. May God grant her eternal rest and comfort the family.”
