A frontline group, BAO MOXIE, has endorsed Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term in office.
The group declared their readiness to support and vote massively for the Governor in 2026, disclosing that their members across the state had embarked on grassroots mobilization to ensure his re-election.
The endorsement of the governor took place during the inauguration of the Local Government Coordinators for BAO MOXIE at Olaoluwa Muslim Grammar School, Ado-Ekiti, on Saturday.
Ekiti News reports that BAO MOXIE is an organ of the Frontiers for Good Governance (FGG) that is dedicated to advancing the cause of good governance in Ekiti State.
The FGG is an initiative of a group of individuals who have consistently studied the dynamics of governance in Ekiti since its inception and discovered that the current administration, led by Governor Abayomi Oyebanji, appears to be an exception in terms of its impact on people’s lives.
The State Leader of the group, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Interest Group 1, Mr. Akinwumi Mojeed Olaoluwa, thanked the stakeholders who came up with the idea of creating a platform to support the Governor.
The State Leader stressed that Governor Oyebanji is fair, firm, just, compassionate, and a true leader.
He said, “Today is a historic day in which we stand on the verge of our future, ready to welcome the dawn of a new day.
“Our group is not interested in money; instead, we want Ekiti to progress. We want to see continued good governance. We want to leave our mark in history.
“We want to ensure, by God’s grace, that Governor Oyebanji is the first governor to rule Ekiti back-to-back. He will be the first to rule for an uninterrupted eight-year period.
“This is because he leads an inclusive government. A government that does not leave anyone behind. The old, young, elderly, retirees, farmers, traders, civil servants, teachers, religious leaders, and traditional institutions are not left behind. Everyone receives a fair share of the democratic dividend.”
Mr. Akinwunmi stated that the Local Government coordinators are expected to inaugurate their ward and unit leaders in their respective local governments.
In his remarks, the Coordinator of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisation (NACOMYO), Alhaji Mudasiru Oladele Yusuf, said that their support for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his outstanding performance and track records in the last one and a half years, saying he had not disappointed the state.
He lauded the achievements of the Governor since assuming office, noting that he has proven to the world that he is responsible and responsive to be entrusted with power.
The NACOMYO Coordinator described the governor’s endorsement for a second term as an encouragement to do more.
In his goodwill message, the Special Adviser on Tertiary Education and also a BAO MOXIE stakeholder, Dr. Mayowa Akeem Azeez, thanked the leadership of the group for their efforts in supporting Governor Oyebanji.
Dr. Azeez emphasized that despite the Governor’s current focus on governance, guided by the mandate given to him by the people of Ekiti, the group will continue to appreciate his developmental strides in the state.
He advised the Local Government Coordinators to be good ambassadors of the group and work relentlessly for the victory of the Governor in 2026.
Also, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Enlightenment, Comrade Suleiman Muyhideen Toba, disclosed readiness to mobilize the voting population of the group to vote in their respective domains, assuring block votes from members of the group for the Governor.
