The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi, has called on the Muslim faithful to emulate the virtues and teachings of Prophet Muhammed as they celebrate Eid-El-Maulud, which marks the birth of the Prophet.

This is contained in a statement released by his media office on Monday, in Okemesi-Ekiti.

Hon. Ajibade urged Muslims to reflect on the life of Prophet Muhammed, emphasizing his values of compassion, humility, and peaceful coexistence. He noted that these qualities are essential for fostering unity and development in the council.

“The teachings of Prophet Muhammed are centered on love, patience, and understanding. As we celebrate his birth, I encourage all Muslims to practice these values, not just during Eid-El-Maulud, but in their daily lives,” he said.

The council boss also encouraged Muslims to continue praying for the success of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration in its efforts to develop the state.

He commended the governor’s commitment to the progress of Ekiti State, adding that collective prayers are vital to achieving lasting progress.

Hon. Ajibade further encouraged all Muslim Ummah and the indigenes of Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA to imbibe the spirit of love and tolerance, which this season teaches, and to support his administration in order to achieve success in all ramifications.

He also called on religious leaders to continue promoting interfaith harmony, saying that unity among all Nigerians, regardless of religion, is crucial to national progress.
