The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi, has felicitated Muslims in the council area and across the country on the celebration of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir festival.

Hon. Ajibade, in a goodwill message issued on Friday, called on Muslims to use the festive period to strengthen their faith and total submission to the will of Allah.

He encouraged the faithful and all Nigerians to uphold the core values of their religions, stressing the need for love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among the people, irrespective of religious differences.

The council chairman also warned against acts capable of fuelling religious intolerance, urging residents of Ekiti State to promote harmony and mutual respect.

He further reminded Nigerians of the importance of sacrifice, which he described as the central message of Eid-el-Kabir.

The council boss appealed to motorists and road users to drive responsibly and observe safety regulations, especially during the festive period, to prevent avoidable accidents.

He also urged Muslims to continue to offer prayers for the peace, security, and development of the LCDA and Ekiti State in general.
