EASTER CELEBRATION: EKITI SPEAKER ENJOINS CHRISTIANS TO BELIEVE IN GOD’S CAPACITY.

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated and enjoined Christian faithful to always keep hope alive and believe in God’s ability to turn things around in the country.
In his Easter message, the Speaker described the death and resurrection of Jesus as a kindling of hope after a moment of despair and a sense of loss.
“Death has always been the end of life, but in the case of our Saviour Jesus, it was a road to new life through His resurrection and ascension. This should equally tell us that we cannot afford to be hopeless about ourselves and the nation, knowing that God is able to fix any challenging situation,” Aribasoye stated.
He advised Christians against harbouring grudges over unkind behaviours by anyone, citing the example of Jesus Christ, who still endeavoured to pray for those who orchestrated His humiliation and death on the cross.
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye also solicited more support and prayers for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the state, describing the government as one that has good intentions and plans for the people of the state.
Meanwhile, the Speaker has extended Easter largesse to his constituents to celebrate the festive season.
Each of the six wards, represented by a notable leader and the ward chairman at Ayedun Ekiti, was given cash gifts and packaged items as he also attended to individuals and groups that came seeking one request or the other.
Every other individual among the crowd received a bag of food items packaged in various sizes and colours, as the people present sang and danced to celebrate the administration and pledged their support for Governor Oyebanji for another term.
