The Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission Chairman, Mr. Samuel Adewumi Abejide, has extended warm congratulations to the Ekiti first family, His Excellency and Her Excellency, Prof Mrs Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on the induction of their daughter as a medical doctor, declaring that the momentous occasion is a testament to the inductee’s hard work, dedication and commitment to the field of medicine. 

This is contained in a statement signed by Stanley A. Familoye, Director of Information and Civic Orientation,
Local Government Service commission in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday.

The chairman stated that he was elated to witness the achievements of such a talented young lady, Dr Toluwanimi Oyebanji, describing her induction into the medical profession of the University of Ibadan of the 2024 set as not only a personal achievement, but also a reflection of the values instilled in her by her family.

“The years of rigorous training, extensive study and countless hours of hard work have culminated in this significant milestone” Abejide said, even as he lauded Oyebanji’s leadership in promoting education and healthcare services in Ekiti State.

His words: “The governor’s efforts to improve the state education and healthcare sectors have been exemplary and the inauguration of the Abiyamo Esther Oyebanji Maternity Ward at the General Hospital, Aramoko Ekiti, which was donated by the governor and his siblings in memory of their mother, is a direct result of his vision and commitment to the wellness of the people.”

According to the chairman, the medical profession is one of the noblest professions, adding: “We have no doubt that she will excel in her chosen field by making a difference in the lives of patients thus making her an exceptional doctor”. 

While wishing her success in her future endeavours, Abejide urged the people of the state to continue to support Oyebanji’s administration to enable it deliver on its mandate of shared prosperity.
