The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has stressed the need to honour and engage elder statesmen and experienced political leaders, saying they have a lot to offer the younger generation through their wealth of experience.
This was contained in a statement signed by Babajide Agbeyo, Special Adviser on Media to the Speaker, in commemoration of the birthday of the Chairman, Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Alaba Abejide.
Aribasoye described Chief Abejide as a respected community leader and seasoned politician who deserves recognition and appreciation for his contributions to the state and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He noted that Chief Abejide is a thorough and dedicated leader who has made meaningful impacts in Ikole Local Government and across Ekiti State.
> “Baba as a political leader has been a model to many. He remains a man who is frank and diligently committed to whatever he believes in,” the Speaker noted.
Aribasoye, who is representing Ikole Constituency II for a second term, acknowledged the vital role Chief Abejide has played in his political journey, expressing gratitude for the elder’s continuous support.
The Speaker prayed for God’s grace upon the celebrant and wished him more years of good health, peace, and fulfilment.
> “I pray that Baba will continue to age gracefully, lead in sound health, reap the reward of his years of effort, and witness the successes of his children and the many others he has mentored,” Aribasoye added.
