Ekiti News reports that participants of the EKITI YOUTH TECHNICAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM, sponsored by Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo, on Saturday 30th of December, joyfully received their training completion certificates.
The well-attended event, held at Onikoyi Hall in Ikun Ekiti, saw over sixty participants from various communities in Ekiti North Federal Constituency (II) receive their discharge and completion certificates.
The training is aimed to equip participants with vital skills, including CCTV installation, solar power expertise, and inverter technology, fostering self-reliance and empowering them to become employers of labour.
Mr. Bola Ojo, representing the House of Representative member, conveyed warm congratulations to the participants, emphasized the program’s commitment to teaching individuals how to fish, and addressing the pressing issue of youth unemployment in the constituency.
Dr. Foyeke Ibimilua, representing the Vice Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology, highlighted the significance of the program in positioning participants for self-reliance.
The Chief Trainer and MD of Bugotake Technology, Dr. Olusegun Dada, affirmed that the participants are market-ready for engagement in the renewable energy field.
Distinguished guests included the Ekiti State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Barr. Paul Omotoso, Financial Secretary -Mr. Dele Fatile, Hon Olajide Rufus, the Treasurer of the party, the Ido/Osi Local Government Vice Chairman-Elect, Hon Folashade Oluwole, High Chief Olufemi Ajibola, Hon Wale Omotosho among other notable figures.
The participants expressed their gratitude to Hon. Akinlayo for the thoughtful initiative and pledged to maximize the opportunities presented to them.
