Harps on Even Sharing Among Residents

The Chairman of Ado-Central Local Council Development Area in Ekiti State, Engr Toyin Ojo has begun the distribution of rice as palliative to the people of the council as part of efforts to ameliorate the hardships and sufferings being faced by the people of Ado Ekiti following the recent removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government.

Engr Ojo while distributing the food items to the residents of the council area through the chairmen of various communities under the LCDA, lauded the state Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi for being responsive to the pains and suffering people are passing through by releasing millions of naira to buy food items and distribute such to lessen the effect of the removal.

The council chairman appealed to the people to be patient with President Tinubu stressing that all policies and programmes being implemented since he assumed office are geared towards making life comfortable for Nigerians in the long run. He called on chairmen of various communities to ensure even distribution of the food items.

Speaking on behalf of chairmen of communities in the council area, Elder Joseph Oluwadare of Ekute community, appreciated the Governor of Ekiti State and the council chairman for their timely intervention at this critical period when prices of foods items have hit the roof. He promised even distribution of the rice among the residents.

Recall that of recent, the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji approved a whopping sum of N331million for the LGs/LCDAs chairmen in the state to buy rice and distribute twenty five(25) bags to each of 177 wards in the state.The gesture is to cushion the biting effects of fuel subsidy removal on the people and to complement various life-changing interventions programmes and moves embarked upon by the federal government.
