The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated former Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Modupe Adelabu, as she marks her 75th birthday.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker described Prof. Adelabu as a mother figure and an inspiration to many, praising her for her consistent show of kindness and wise counsel.
“You’re not only a mother; you are equally a model. Your counsels are wise, your criticisms constructive, and your wishes always positive,” Aribasoye said.
He commended her for her outstanding service during the administration of former Governor Kayode Fayemi, especially her roles at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and later as Deputy Governor. According to him, her performance exceeded expectations and contributed significantly to the progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ekiti State at large.
“You did excellently well at SUBEB, and you performed outstandingly during your tenure as Deputy Governor. You stepped in at a time when a major gap needed to be filled in the administration, and you surpassed expectations admirably,” he added.
The Speaker prayed for God’s continued grace upon Prof. Adelabu’s life, wishing her long life, good health, and greater achievements in the years ahead.
“75 indeed looks good on you, and we can only pray that God’s care for you will be sustained with added blessings and more productive years ahead,” he concluded.
