The Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has celebrated the retirement of its Zonal Inspector, Mr. Bola Babalola, in grand style.

Staff members welcomed Mr. Babalola warmly, singing his praises and expressing gratitude for his exemplary service.

The event took place during the Financial and General-Purpose Committee meeting held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, and was led by the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Ajibade Owolabi.

Hon. Ajibade described Mr. Babalola as a man of excellence, integrity, and vast knowledge.

The Council boss praised the retiring officer for his unwavering dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the growth and smooth running of the council, noting that his efforts positively shaped the LCDA’s financial management.

“Throughout his time at the LCDA, Mr. Babalola was known for his deep understanding of financial guidelines and commitment to best practices,” he said.

In his farewell remarks, Mr. Babalola thanked the council management and staff for their support over the years.

The Zonal Inspector urged directors to encourage continuous learning among their teams, stressing the importance of research and self-development in the public service.

Present at the occasion were the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs.) Ilesanmi Omowumi; Secretary to the LCDA, Hon. Sesan Jayeola; Head of Local Administration, Mr. S.A. Agbaje; Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Kayode Omolanbi, a representative of the Owa Ooye of Okemesi; Director of Administration, Mr. Olaiya Zacheus; Director of Finance, Mrs Faromo Olayinka and heads of departments.

The council wished Mr. Babalola success in his future journey, affirming that his legacy would remain a reference point in the history of the LCDA.
