Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has congratulated the first elected Governor of the state, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, on his 67th birthday.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji praised Adebayo’s selflessness, humility, and dedication to the development of Ekiti and Nigeria.
Describing him as a history maker, the Governor commended Adebayo for laying a strong foundation for the state’s progress, which successive administrations have built upon.
Oyebanji also lauded the former governor’s leadership style, emphasizing his commitment to mentoring young leaders and fostering selfless service. He highlighted Adebayo’s achievements in governance, particularly in workers’ welfare, investment attraction, and infrastructural development despite limited resources.
Expressing personal gratitude, Oyebanji acknowledged Adebayo’s role in his own political journey, noting that his mentorship and opportunities paved the way for his current position.
He further praised Adebayo’s national contributions as a former FAAN Chairman, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and a key figure in Nigeria’s corporate sector.
The Governor prayed for long life, sound health, and continued service to Ekiti, Nigeria, and humanity for the celebrant.
