A group, the Association of Trade Union Veterans, comprising retired past Labour Union Leaders who have served and retired from public service in the State have passed vote of confidence on Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
This was contained in a communique issued by the group after it’s quarterly meeting on 13th August 2024 and was signed by its Chairman, Comrade Lawrence Egunjobi, the Secretary, Comrade Segun Onaade and the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Folu Oni.
Ekiti News reports that the group said they took the decision after thorough discussions.
According to the communique, the group resolved as follows: “Commendation of the State Governor: The Association extends its heartfelt commendation to the State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his steadfast dedication to the welfare of workers and pensioners in the State.
“The Governor’s prompt actions and consistent efforts to ensure the timely payment of salaries, pensions and clearing of all outstanding gratuities are highly appreciated. These measures have greatly contributed to the financial security and well- being of the State’s work force and retirees
“Prayers for the Governor’s Success, The Association offers it’s sincere prayers for the Governor’s continued success in all future endeavours and we also pass votes of confidence in the Governor . it is our firm belief that the Governor’s continued leadership will further propel the Stale wards sustainable development and overall progress for the benefit of all citizens
“Commitment to Support: The Association reaffirms its unwavering support for the Governor’s administration and encourages all members to remain committed to the advancement of the State.
“We pledge our readiness to collaborate with the State Government in all initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of workers, pensioners and the general populace”. It’s added.
