The Executive Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area, Hon. Prince Michael Ogunbemi, has provided financial assistance to Sunday Michael Osasona, the Team Captain of Ajoni Football Club, as he prepares for a European trial.
Osasona’s outstanding performance during the Ekiti State League tournament earned him an invitation for trials with clubs in Spain, Portugal, England, and Germany, recognizing his hard work, discipline, and exceptional skills.
This was disclosed when the Chairman hosted Mr. Michael in his office, where he commended the young athlete for his dedication and achievements.
Prince Ogunbemi expressed his commitment to supporting local talent and emphasized the importance of empowering youths in the community.
He also highlighted the administration’s focus on sports development and his unwavering commitment to empowering talented individuals in the community which forms the basis of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s led administration in the area of Youths development.
The Chairman berates the restiveness among some young people and urged them to take inspiration from Michael’s dedication and hard work.
He emphasized that Michael’s journey is a testament to what can be achieved through discipline and perseverance, encouraging other youths to follow a similar path.
Accompanying Michael on the visit were his brother, Temitope and the scout coach, Mr. Komolafe Kunle Joseph.
The meeting was also attended by Ajoni management team which included the Vice Chairman, Prince Tunde Famoroti, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Sola Alagbo, Head of Local Government Administration and Mr. Tunde Arowolaju among others.
