The Technical Advisor on Public Buildings and Infrastructure to the Governor of Ekiti State, Hon. Temitope Oni, informed the residents of Omu and Ijelu community in Oye Local Government Area that the current administration is dedicated to delivering the dividends of democracy to their doorstep siting the ongoing Itapa-Ijelu- Omu road.
During a familiarization visit to community leaders and party faithfuls at Omu/Ijelu Ward 12, Oni emphasized that Governor Oyebanji’s model of inclusive governance and grassroots development is a guiding principle for her, noting that her visit was essential to meet the party leaders at the Ward level.
In her words: “Drawing from the Governor’s philosophy of inclusive governance and grassroots development, I am here to ensure that government policies are well communicated with the people.” Oni stated.
The Technical advisor on public buildings and Infrastructure development further highlighted that her appointment signifies the Governor’s love for the people and his dedication to ensuring that all areas of the state benefit from his administration.
The visit was the first to the town since her appointment and her arrival was greeted with much excitement and hopes. She pledged to regularly visit the community to understand their needs and relay them to the Governor for consideration, highlighting the water supply project (Borehole) in the community, In addition to the ongoing Itapa-Ijelu-Omu road construction as part of the current intervention of the government in the area.
Expressing gratitude for the community’s support, Oni urged continuous backing for the government, promising regular visits to keep the dialogue open.
In their remarks, the Owajumu of Omu, Oba Joseph Adedeji, and the Elejelu of Ijelu, Oba Isaac Adetoyinbo Ajayi, who spoke differently in their various palaces, thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji for appointing one of our children, and encourage the Technical Advisor to leverage her education and experience to enhance governance and service delivery in the state.
The monarchs lauded the ongoing road construction, noting that it had significantly improved security, allowing farmers to access their farmlands and residents to sleep peacefully.
The Elejelu of Ijelu also took the Technical Advisor to the site of the ongoing town hall construction, urging her to use her connections to bring further assistance for completion of the ongoing project.
Community and party leaders present at the event included Hon. Isaac Toyin Osadare, Councillor of Omu/Ijelu Ward 12; Mr. James Kehinde Dada, Ward Chairman of Omu/Ijelu; Hon. Akindele Ogunmuluyi, former Chairman of Oye Local Government; and Hon. Mrs. Ajibade Funmilayo, Woman Leader of Omu/Ijelu Ward and Hon Falade Joseph among others.They expressed confidence in Oni’s capabilities, describing her as honest, trustworthy and committed to community development while appreciating Governor Oyebanji for his administration’s good works across Ekiti State, pledging their unwavering support for his second term.
