Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has been honoured with an award for Outstanding Contribution to the MSMEs sub-sector in Ekiti State.
The award was presented by the Office of Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Ekiti News reports that the State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Akintunde Oyebode, received the award on behalf of the Governor.
The award recognizes the Biodun Oyebanji administration’s significant support for MSMEs in the state. This includes implementing favorable tax regimes, establishing counterpart funding arrangements with financial institutions, conducting empowerment trainings, and facilitating land clearing while providing seedlings and inputs for farmers.
Additionally, the administration supports cooperative societies, artisans, and the informal sector through various initiatives.
Meanwhile, an Ekiti young lady, Adesola Adedoyin of Desoor Bags also won the Best Female Exhibitor Award and went home with the star prize of a car and N2 million cash.
