The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Owolabi Sunday Ajibade has officially resumed for his second term in office. The occasion was marked with a warm welcome extended to the new Vice Chairman, Mrs. Hon. (Mrs) Omowumi Ilesanmi.
To celebrate the occasion, the management of the LCDA led by the Chairman organized a special prayer, seeking blessings for a successful tenure.
The prayer meeting was well attended by the Staff, Political Office Holders as well as Executive members of Christian Association of Nigeria, (Okemesi/Ido-Ile Chapter).
Also in attendance was Venerable Oyetola the Priest of Anglican Church Okemesi- Ekiti and the hall was filled to the brim while the people were in joyous mood and series of songs of praise were rendered to the Lord for His infinite mercies over them to witness the new year with peace.
Addressing the prayer meeting, Hon. Ajibade acknowledged their dedication and urged them to redouble their efforts in their respective roles.
The Chairman expressed gratitude for the support received during his first term and vowed to continue delivering improved services to the council.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and collective commitment to achieving the LCDA’s goals.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Agbaje Saliu thanked the Chairman for his useful advice and promised that members of staff will turn over a new leaf in the new year.
As part of the welcoming ceremony, the Chairman took the opportunity to introduce and welcome the new Vice Chairman. Together, they toured various offices, fostering a sense of collaboration and unity among the LCDA leadership.
