The president of Ifaki Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Ayoola Dada, has lauded Prince Oladipo Adeyeye Agbaje for recently rendering the melodious Ifaki-Ekiti anthem.

The president gave the commendation via a message on the popular Ifaki indigene social media platform ‘Ifaki Patriots’, earlier Tuesday 4th June, 2024. He enjoined all Ifaki-Ekiti indigenes to embrace the noble initiative by rendering the anthem at any Ifaki-Ekiti indigene’s gathering and function to ensure widespread and general acceptance by the indigene.

He called on all Ifaki-Ekiti sons and daughters to always strive to dignify the community wherever they may find themselves. He, particularly, called on youths to embrace innovation, critical thinking and participation in community development. “All forms of unwholesome acts, particularly, by youths in the community, will soon be a thing of the past”, he added.

He stressed further, the need to always commend the good effort of distinguished Ifaki-Ekiti indigenes who are making ways, to serve as motivation for the coming generation.

Also, the immediate past president, Federation of Ifaki Students’ Union Comrade. Kehinde Adeyemi (Naval) who gave his reaction on the platform said it is important we learn the Ifaki-Ekiti anthem in the same spirit we learn the new (old) national anthem, so far we are in the era of anthem swotting.

The anthem was soul lifting and exemplifies the rich natural and cultural heritage of the community.
